In-Call Controls 

 

Dial Pad 

Dial pad

The Dial Pad will open a keypad that can be used to select phone extensions or respond to commands within a call. 

Note: This keypad is not used to transfer or add people to a call

Hold 

Hold button

To put a caller on hold: 

  1. Select the Hold button. Hold music will be played 
  2. Select Resume to start talking again

Transfer

 To transfer a call: 

  1. Select the Transfer button 
  2. Choose Transfer or Consult then Transfer

Transfer-Internal 

  1. Select the Transfer button 
  2. Choose the Transfer option 
  3. In the Transfer the Call dialog box enter the name or the number of the person the call is transferred to

  4. Choose the name from the drop down list for an internal transfer 
  5. After selecting, select the arrow next to Transfer to an audio call and choose the type of transfer to make 

    transfer options

    The default is Transfer to an audio call – this will ring the destination phone 
    Transfer to their work voicemail – will not ring the destination phone but go directly to voicemail 
    Transfer to **** number – Work number will ring the Teams account of the person associated with that extension, any other number will only be included if it has been added to the contact card of the person listed ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
  6. Next, check whether to Ring back if there is no answer or to include a call topic for the recipient

  7. Click Transfer 

 

Transfer-External 

  1. Enter the 10-digit number you want to call 
  2. Select Enter or the dropdown designating the external number 
  3. Choose to ring back or include a call topic 
  4. Select Transfer 

 

 

Consult and Transfer-Internal 

  1. Select Transfer > Consult and Transfer 
  2. Enter the name of the person to transfer the call to 
    consult then transfer
