Checking AI Detection Results in Turnitin
If you have enabled Turnitin on an assignment, you are able to review AI detection by following these instructions.
First go to the Assignments tool in the NavBar. Then click on the New Submissions to begin reviewing and grading.
When the submission opens, you will see the available documents to review. Beneath Turnitin Similarity Report for each document submitted, you will need to click on the Similarity Report Percentage Indicator. Even if it says 0%, you still need to click on this indicator to review the AI Writing report.
When the Turnitin Similarity Report opens up, you can find the AI Writing Percentage on the right side of the page. This percentage shows the amount of qualifying text within the submission that Turnitin's AI writing detection model determines is written by AI. To go further into reviewing the AI report, click on the percentage.
When you click on the AI Writing Percentage, it will open a new page. On the new page that opens up, you will see the text that is highlighted has been flagged as written by AI. The percentage is on the right side in large numbers. Please take note of the three tools on the bottom right to assist you with any questions (FAQs, Resources, Guides).
To download a copy of the AI Writing Report you will go to the top of the page and click on the Download icon above the percentage.
Then a small pop up will appear below this and you will need to click on AI Writing Report to download a PDF copy.
