YuJa - Embed OR Use Media Chooser to Add a Video in Brightspace
This article provides instruction on embedding a YuJa video in Brightspace using an embed code. YuJa provides the full embed code as well as the URL for each video. An embedded video shows the video in a play window rather than just the link. It is a good practice to include the URL along with the Embed code to increase accessibility for mobile devices. There are two ways to Embed OR Add a Video in Brightspace using Yuja.
Add a Video in Brightspace
Navigate to a content area where you want to link the video. Choose Upload/Create and Create a File
On the next screen give the file a Name/Title and then choose the Insert Stuff icon in the text editor.
Select Yuja Media Chooser
Select a video from your library and choose Insert Content
Check to make sure the video is correct and then select Insert.
Choose Save and Close.
Embed
1. Open Yuja: https://cortland.video.yuja.com/ Navigate to your video thumbnail. Hover your mouse over the thumbnail and click More in the menu.
Click on Links from the left menu.
Under the heading "Enable Auto Single-Sign-On for Embedded and Direct Linked Media" select the Enable radio button. This will allow students to view these videos within Brightspace. Click the Save Links button but do not close the window.
Click on the Copy icon next to the Embed Code. This will copy the code to your clipboard on your computer.
Return to Brightspace in a new tab or window. Do not close the YuJa window. Navigate to a content area where you want to link the video. Choose Upload/Create and Create a File
On the next screen give the file a Name/Title and then choose the HTML icon in the text editor.
You will paste the Embed code between the <p></p>
*If you erase the pre existing code to paste your embed code it will not work.
Choose SAVE and then SAVE AND CLOSE.
