I have a new mobile phone and now I cannot authenticate using Duo.

  1. Enter your username and password into myRedDragon.
Note: If it automatically logs you in, it is remembering your device. Use a different browser or computer, or use an incognito/private tab to force a Duo auth.
  2. Before you authenticate, click the Settings button to the right of the SUNY Cortland logo.
  3. Click My Settings & Devices. Use your back-up authentication method to authenticate.
Note: If you do not have a backup device you will need to call the Technology Help Center at (607)-753-2500
If you have a new phone but the number is the same, you can try using the 'text me a code' option.
  4. Click the gear to the right of your device, then click Reactivate Duo Mobile.
  5. Follow the prompts.

SUNY Cortland uses a two-factor authentication solution called Duo to help protect your SUNY Cortland account. Your first factor of authentication is your username and password. Your second factor is Duo. Duo prevents anyone but you from accessing your account, even if they know your password.
