About Micosoft MFA

Microsoft MFA is SUNY Cortland's identity verification solution. Microsoft MFA prompts users for an additional authentication methods. The following authentication methods are currently supported:

  1. Microsoft Authenticator App
  2. Mobile Phone SMS text or Voice Call
  3. Office Phone Voice Call
  4. UbiKey USB Key

If you have changed your mobile phone number or have a new device, please contact the Technology Help Center for assistance. You can use the "I need help with MFA" button on the right side of this page.

Why do we use Microsoft MFA?

Using any type of MFA significantly enhances yours and the college's security by making it much harder for attackers to gain access to your SUNY Cortland account, resources, and data.
