Teams Calling - Receiving a Departmental Call

In order to receive calls to a departmental number you need to verify that you are receiving the calls made to that number, then calls will look the same as personal calls, but they will have an extra notification

Opt-In to Calling Queue

  1. Go to the Teams Settings
    Teams Settings
  1. In Settings, go to the Calls tab
  2. Select the name of the departmental calling queue at the top of the window
  3. In the Receive call from this queue field, slide the toggle to ‘On’
    Teams Settings > Calls

After the calling queue is joined, the calls will come in with the same notification box as other calls.
However, there will be a notification that the call is coming in for the departmental queue (denoted by a headset icon).
The email of the recipient will be at the top of the notification box and the caller ID will be listed.
If the caller is internal, you will have the option to answer with a video call as well.
