Resetting Your Password

To reset your password with SSPR, go to Microsoft Online Password Reset (passwordreset.microsoftonline.com) and use the steps outlined below.

1. Enter your email and complete the CAPTCHA to begin.

Microsoft. Get back into your account. Who are you? To recover your account, begin by entering your email or username and the characters in the picture or audio below. Email or Username: Text box. Example: user@contoso.onmicrosoft.com or user@contoso.com. Captcha. Text box. Enter the characters in the picture or the words in the audio. Next button. Cancel button.

 

2. Click password reset reason and click next

Microsoft. Get back into your account. Why are you having trouble signing in? Radial button: I forgot my password. No worries, we'll help you to reset your password using the security info you registered with us. Radial button: I know my password, but still can't sign in. This might happen because you tried signing in with an incorrect password too many times. If you choose this option, you'll keep your existing password and we'll unlock your account so you can sign in again. Next button. Cancel button.

 

3. Select a method to verify your identity.

If it's available, you can authenticate with a phone call to your office phone. Other methods, such as the Microsoft Authenticator app, or your mobile number may be configured. Click here for instructions on adding authentication methods.

Click Send Notification to get to the next step.

Microsoft. Get back into your account. Verification step 1> Choose a new password. Please choose the contact method we should use for verification: Radial button: Call my office phone. Radial button: Approve a notification on my authenticator app. Radial button: Enter a code from my authenticator app. Send a notification to your authenticator app on your mobile device. Send Notification button. Cancel button.

 

4. Complete the Authenticator step on your cell phone. Afterwards, you will get a prompt to reset your password. 

Microsoft. Get back into your account. Verification > choose a new password. Enter password: text box. Confirm new password: text box. Finish button. Cancel button.

 

Modify SSPR Settings and Add Sign-In Methods

Your Security Panel is located at this URL: https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info

Use the following steps to access the panel and add a sign-in method, such as the MS Authenticator app, or a set of security questions.

1. Log in to MyRedDragon. Click the icon with your initials in the top right corner of the screen and select the View Account link.

2. On the Panel titled Security Info, click Update Info

3. A list of configured verification methods is shown under Security Info. Here you can add and remove sign-in methods.
