Setting up Notifications
Login to Brightspace, then click your name in the upper righthand corner.
Select Notifications
Brightspace provides 2 contact methods: email and phone.
- By default, your Cortland email address will be used for all email notifications. It is not advised to change your email settings.
- To get notifications sent your phone, click Register my mobile. View the phone notification tutorial here.
Select your preferred method of notification (Email or SMS) for each listed action in a course. By default, Announcements are already chosen as Email.
- Customize Notifications – Click any custom notifications you wish to include.
- Exclude Some Courses – You may exclude courses from your notification settings using manage my course exclusions.
When you are finished customizing your settings, click Save.
You have now customized your notifications for your Brightspace account. You may revisit this page and make changes at any time.
