Recommended Computer Hardware Systems for Faculty and Staff

Below are the standard offerings for computer systems. The items are listed below as they appear in the Hardware/Software Request System. For new hires, please order hardware two weeks in advance of the individual's start date. Please make sure to select an appropriate operating system compatible with the software used in your department/curriculum.

Desktop computers should only be purchased when the assigned staff do not require any computing mobility for their work. We recommend that all faculty members are issued a laptop, which - when paired with a docking monitor and peripherals - can offer the same ergonomic and user interface experience as a desktop computer.
