Teams Calling - Checking Personal Voicemail

If you are unable to answer your phone, you can redirect the call to voicemail. In order to set up your personal voicemail, please refer to the Knowledge Base article on Voicemail Setup.

Once your voicemail is set up callers can leave a message

Access your voicemail from Teams:

  1. Open Teams in either the web or the installed app
  2. Go to the History section of the Calls tab
  3. Select the Voicemail button or select Voicemail from the dropdown

  4. Click on the call you would like to see the voicemail for and it will be shown in the panel to the right

  5. The voicemail panel will show the name and contact information of the caller, the text of the voicemail and a recording of the voicemail. Click the arrow below the transcript to plat the recording.
  1. If the voicemail is from an internal caller there will also be the possibility of sending a chat to the caller, starting a video or audio call

Access your voicemail from Outlook:

  1. Click on the email in Outlook
  2. Select Download from the dropdown menu in the attachment with the audio mp3

  3. From the download choose Open

  4. On a Mac, Apple Music will open and automatically play the recording.
    On a PC the first time a window opens to select an app to open the audio voicemail, choose Windows Media Player:

    The audio window will open in the top left corner of your screen on a PC
