Reinstalling the EMS Desktop App

Uninstall EMS app

These steps may require elevation to run, it is a good idea to run MakeMeAdmin prior to beginning this process. For details see this article:

1. Hit start, type add remove and click on Add or Remove Programs

2. Scroll through the list until you see EMS Desktop Client and click the …
 

Choose Uninstall and then when warned it will remove the app, choose Uninstall again

Reinstall the EMS App

These steps must be done either on campus or while connected to Warp

1. Open an InPrivate/Incognito Web Browser and navigate to this page
   
   https://calendar.cortland.edu/EmsDesktopWebDeploy/
    
2. Click the Download and install the EMS Desktop Client link
    
3. If the CFG file is blocked, click the … next to it and select Keep
   
    
4. Go to your Downloads Folder and find the two files
    
5. Launch EMS by double clicking the EMSApplocation.exe file
    
6. If you see this error click OK
    
7. You should then see a box with a space for a URL
    
8. Enter this into the URL box and hit OK

9. Follow the steps found here to recreate your shortcut to the application:
