Teams Calling - Delegation

When you create a delegate, you give someone else the ability to make and receive calls on your behalf. They will be notified when you change call settings to send calls to them.

 

Create a Calling Delegate

To designate a delegate:

  1. Go the Calls tab of Teams Settings
    Settings location
  2. Scroll down to the Manage Delegates section
  3. Select the Add a Delegate button

  4. Enter the name or number of the delegate – a delegate can only be another person with a SUNY Cortland Teams account

  5. Choose the abilities of the delegate

  6. Both the delegate and the delegee will receive notification in their Teams chat that the delegation has been made. The abilities available to the delegate will be listed

  7. The delegation will be seen also on the Call tab, where you will have the ability to call as yourself or on behalf of the delegee

  8. In Teams Settings on the Calls tab in the Call handling and forwarding section, you can now manage if/when you would like your calls to ring your delegates.
