Printing an Envelope to a Pharos Printer

Note: Envelope Printing is recommended on HP printers.

The Pharos Secure Printer must also be set as the system default printer on your computer

Printing an Envelope on an HP Printer

1. In Microsoft Word, go to the Mailings tab and select Envelope.

2. Fill out the Delivery Address field and then hit Options

3. On the Printing Options tab be sure to select these options exactly as they appear below

Clockwise Rotation
Feed From = Manual Feed

Once these settings are in place Press OK

Failing to set the options this way may result in a paper jam

4. On the Envelopes And Labels dialogue box, hit the Print button.

This button does not give you the option to select a printer, it uses the system default, which is why you must ensure the Pharos Secure Printer is your default printer for this process to work.

5. Sign into a HP Model Pharos Secure Printer and open the Manual Feed Tray on the right hand side

If you look closely you can see an image indicating how the printer wants the envelope to be loaded

Load the envelope onto the Manual Feed tray as the image shows and then use the Print All button on the touchscreen to release your print job

If the printer pops up a message that the manual feed tray is empty, try moving the envelope around a little, as it might not be loaded in enough for the sensor to recognize it.

Printing an Envelope on an Toshiba Printer

Note: Envelope printing is not recommended on Toshiba printers.

1. In Microsoft Word, go to the Mailings tab and select Envelope.

3. On the Printing Options tab be sure to select these options exactly as they appear below

5. Sign into a Toshiba Model 6525AC Pharos Secure Printer and open the Manual Feed Tray on the right-hand side.  You may have to adjust to the width of the envelopes.   If you look closely, you can see an image indicating how the printer wants the envelope to be loaded.

Load the envelope onto the Manual Feed tray as the image shows and then use the Print All button on the touchscreen to release your print job

6. You will now see an exclamation icon pop up.  For the first time, you will need to change the settings in the Job Status (the exclamation icon) to be able to print onto the envelopes.

7. To get to Job Status to make these changes, you will need to click on “Click on More Devices Functions” and find either Job Status or the yellow exclamation icon in the top right-hand corner.

8. Under Job Status, you will want to click on Supply and then change Type to Envelope.

9. Press the green start button on the panel to the right of the touch screen.
