The Library is pleased to provide SUNY Cortland students, faculty, and staff with access to the Chronicle of Higher Education, as well as Digital Editions of the New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
NYT and WSJ access must be renewed, usually once/year. Directions for account creation and renewal are provided below.
The Chronicle of Higher Education
The Chronicle of Higher Education Online is the top destination for news, advice, and jobs for people in academe. The Chronicle site license includes The Chronicle’s News, Advice, The Review, Data and the Current Issue.
To access some content, such as the featured articles at the top of the page, you may need to create a free individual account, which will allow you to access two articles or reports per month. If you use your cortland.edu email you can also receive newsletters and be synced with the Chronicle's site license. The site license does not include the Daily Briefing newsletter or items in the Store.
New York Times Digital Edition
SUNY Cortland faculty, students and staff can access The New York Times Digital Edition through an Academic Site License. Once you have created your account, you will be able to access the New York Times via the web or by mobile apps. (Does not include the crossword apps).

You will have to renew your subscription yearly.
Wall Street Journal
SUNY Cortland provides access to the Wall Street Journal for students (up through graduation) as well as staff and faculty (faculty and staff must be renewed annually). To register OR renew, please follow instructions on The Free Digital Newspaper Subscriptions Libguide: Wall Street Journal
