Adding Alt Text in Office 365 Apps

 

Please note:

In new versions of both online and installed versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, when a picture is inserted from any source, alt text may automatically be added.

Selecting Approve will add the alt text, selecting Edit will open the Alt Text editing pane where you can change text.

If Alt Text is not automatically added, select the Picture tab > Alt Text to add it.
